Armed Security Officer
This group of courses is for those who are entering the security field
for the first time, or those who let their certifications expire.

What makes armed security officers different from unarmed officers?

1) You get to carry a gun!

2) Armed officers have arrest powers.

3) As a rule of thumb, the pay for armed officers is higher than
unarmed officers.
Armed Security Course Requirements:

Basic Security Officer Class (18 Hours)

Security Handgun Class (24 Hours, plus range qualification)

Arrest Authority (8 Hours)

You need only the following classes:

Security Handgun Class (24 Hours, plus range qualification)

Arrest Authority (8 Hours)
