Entry Level Shotgun (08E)
This class runs on Saturday evening, after the Firearms class,
from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Range qualification is the next day
beginning at 5:00 p.m.

Shotgun Recertification (08R)
There is now classroom training required for the shotgun
recertification class. This is a change from the previous
requirement! Range qualification is noted next to each class.
Per DCJS regulations, you cannot renew any weapon
certifications more than 90 days before your expiration date. If
you take the class early, you will have to take it again when you're
within that 90 day window.
Don't wait until the last minute to renew your firearms
endorsement! There is no grace period with DCJS for
weapon certifications! If you expire before taking a class,
then you have to take entry level training again. Classes
will be cancelled if minimums are not met - don't let that
cause your card to expire!
