Welcome to the best shooting experience you will ever have! From basic instruction for beginners and target practice to tactical pistol courses and competitions, The Smoking Gun promises not to disappoint! And with a friendly, welcoming atmosphere, this is one gun range where you can bring your family along, too.

The Smoking Gun sells a variety of targets and ammunition on site. We also carry cleaning kits, bore snakes and other accessories for maintaining the performance of your handgun.

The personnel of The Smoking Gun have countless years of experience with handguns, and are ready to answer any questions our patrons have. The Smoking Gun is located conveniently off of Interstate 95, in the heart of Colonial Heights.

So, stop by and visit our newly renovated facility. We are also always open to suggestions from our visitors!

Concealed Weapons Classes

The Smoking Gun now offers the course to obtain your concealed weapon permit! The course schedule is as follows:

Thursday 6:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.

Saturday 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

Cost:

Prepay for class - $60.00 ; Pay the day of class - $75.00

All students are also required to purchase one box of ammunition for class.

This class is scheduled every Thursday and Saturday, unless the day falls on a major holiday!

If you have a large group interested in the course, please contact us! We can set up special courses for groups, and we can even come to you!
